Covid 19 | Your wedding at Level 3

The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. Our hearts go out especially to our couples who have had to postpone their weddings, we are committed to making your new date just as special!

Yesterday, our Prime Minster Jacinda Arden announced NZ would be moving into Alert Level 3 on the 28th of April. During this next stage, I wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching get married in NZ at Level 3 with iDo iDo Weddings.

The Legal Stuff...

Alert Level 3 information for Gatherings:
The Covid19 New Zealand Government website states:
'Gatherings present a very high risk of transmitting COVID-19, and acceptable gatherings are very limited. Up to 10 people can gather for: Wedding ceremonies (not receptions).

Examples to help explain these measures:

For those holding a wedding ceremony, the limit means there can only be the couple, the celebrant, a couple of witnesses and family. Most people will still need to attend through video conferencing. Those who do attend must keep themselves and others safe. Keep a list of those who attend, stay at least 2 meters apart and wash hands regularly.'

Alert Level 3 information for Workers and businesses:
'Retail and hospitality businesses can only open for delivery and contactless pre-ordered pick up – customers cannot enter stores'

What Will iDo iDo Weddings Do?

The information provided by the government allows us to host an intimate wedding ceremony with a gathering of 8 guests including the bridal couple, the celebrant and photographer. We won't be able to offer you a reception but we can offer you contactless delivered individual picnic boxes and cake at an additional cost. 

Yes, not life as we know it but we can still make it fun with this limited time offer!

  • 2 hour wedding at your desired location

  • Take home Individual wedding picnic graze box (add-on, restrictions apply)

  • Live streaming of your wedding (add-on)

Your wedding planner and coordinator will:

  • Book a public reserve. through council  
  • Set up and style your ceremony area 
  • Coordinate the Celebrant and Photographer at a distance
